.) She was going to be a famous model in NYC. As such, she could no longer eat any sweets. She immediately started packing her lunch instead of eating cafeteria food claiming that it had too many calories. This was years before I even really started thinking about calories, fat grams, sodium etc. and yet I still accepted this fact as nothing more than the truth and moved on.
.) Her agent told her she needed to lose 10 pounds so she had started going to a gym in SLC. This gym just happened to be the same gym that Karl Malone's wife frequented and they had become friends. I was super jealous of this...who didn't idolize Karl Malone in the late 80's, early 90's?
.) At the ripe age of 10 she was asked to pose on a rock in lingerie for a magazine. I will pause here, this should have thrown up a flag that this was bogus, but back then I didn't realize that would absolutely illegal, or if even true I needed at the very least to go to the cops. Instead, our group of friends heard this story at recess and found it very salacious, but I don't think I really understood what lingerie was and especially a teddy. Oh yes, she used the word teddy.
.) She made out on a rock, (there were a lot of rocks in her stories) with a kid in our class who had recently moved in. I think we asked him about this, but he denied...well, so would every elementary school boy. I do remember this was the one story that I didn't really believe. Why would this kid make out with her and go camping with her family when their families had never met? I asked him slyly one day if their families knew each other...he acted if I asked him if he was working out in a gym with Karl Malone's wife.
Did any of you have any friends like this?
