Friday Favorites

I did not have a hard time at all choosing my favorites this week. In fact, if I had time I would list them all, but I think maybe I'll save some for next week instead.







1.) Nike High Impact Sports Bras. 


These little guys are life changing. Life. Changing. Worth every penny. My whole life I have worn the usual sports bra thinking that they were all the same. Not so ladies. I refuse to run without wearing one of these now.

2.) Sephora's Break A Leg Warmer nail polish


I have never owned gray before, but I loves it! Its not dark enough to look like you're trying to be a Kardashian, but it has enough in it to be perfect for any outfit. Sometimes I have tangerine on my fingernails and cringe when I then realize that I'm wearing a fluorescent green cardigan...straight out of the eighties ya'all.

3.) Jalapeno Jelly

Seriously, where has this stuff been my whole life? Delicious, absolutely delicious.

4.) John Legend's Get Lifted


I didn't realize this was an old CD of his, but when I saw it for 5 bucks on Amazon I couldn't resist. Its great, I've had it playing all week.

5.) Adele's 19



This was another find on Amazon's deals list. It also is fabulous and suddenly songs that sounded vaguely familiar I realize are Adele's .

I, for one, am extremely excited that its the weekend. Even though it was a short week, it was a doozy of a week and I am looking forward to kicking back with a good book.

Friday Favorites - Owl Edition

This Friday my favorites are all owlish things. I have been on an "owl" kick lately as you can see on my little favorites image. It seems like there are so many creative people out there who can paint and create such interesting things. I wish I could make things like that, but unfortunately my painting skills never progressed past 4th grade.

1.) I am completely enamored with this painting below. I am so, so, so tempted to buy it, there is something in it that reminds me of Nightmare Before Christmas. This awesome painting can be found on etsy at Marcia724. If you would like to see her great stuff go here. I may have already purchased one of her compact mirrors...luv 'em.

2.)
This little guy is a digital illustration, but I think it has been done so well that it looks like there were pieces of paper torn and cut out to create him. Wouldn't he look cute on a little boy's wall? This also came from Etsy, (I have rekindled my love for Etsy) in a shop called LeeArthaus. Why wouldn't anyone like an owl on a vespa? You can see this little owl and other owl creations here. 


3.) My next little owl makes me want a modern feel house so badly. I'm sure the white floors are hard to keep spotless, and it doesn't look like carpet...but I really like how it looks. Honestly, it looks to me like it came right out of an Ikea ad. But the owl decal works perfectly with the color scheme.

4.) The next owl would go in a newborn's nursery regardless of the gender. I think the little owl is too cute to pass up.

5.) Last, but not least, I had to add an owl cupcake, I have personally tried and tried to make cute little owl cupcakes to no avail. Maybe one day....

By the way, the source of that cupcake has some seriously other cute cupcakes too....it makes me want to make more cupcakes but I really don't have the willpower to not scarf them all down.

Friday Favorites

Its time again for my weekly fav's!

1.) Puppies eating out of yogurt containers

Thor, my little brother's dog is growing and growing and growing. When I was in Utah over Christmas we weighed him and he came in at 72 pounds at 6 months. Megan stood him up and he was almost five feet tall. He's also an extremely kind and gentle dog that lets me hug him, although I think he finds it confusing when I do.

















2. Spin Classes
I had forgotten how much those things kick your butt, but after attending three times this week, I am starting to feel back in the groove of things.

3. Blueberry Muffin For Every Body Candle

These candles are da bomb. They are very inexpensive, last forever AND they smell delicious. This is definitely my go-to candle, I never get tired of how it smells, it is quite strong, so I only burn it for an hour or so each time I use it. This past week I have used it every day, it makes my house smell like I actually cook occasionally.

4. Mormon in Manhattan

Have you ever wanted to move to Manhattan? Have you ever wondered if anyone from Utah moves anywhere fabulous and then meets fabulous (and famous) people? Do you ever wonder what Broadway is like? Well then, you should probably head over to this blog. Every time I see an update I get extremely excited....could it be that she's run into Leo DiCapro???? Or met a new professional football player? It is pretty exciting and enjoyable to read.

5. Allorahandmade
In my travels on the interwebs I have a found a few places that I love to check back on to see if there are any new products, updates, etc. I really like Allorahandmade's products, I got a gift certificate for Breanne for Christmas and it was a cinch to get it. If you're looking for rosette necklaces, headbands, bracelets or rings, this is the place to shop. Or, you could follow her blog and see what sorts of cool things are popping up all of the time in her shop. She's a Utah gal as well!

Friday Favorites

Its time for Friday Favorites again!!!! Ok, here are my top favs of the week:




1.) True Grit This movie fabulous! It was the best that I have seen in a long, long time.





2. White Watches I am loving all of the white watches out right now!! I have rocking one for the past week.






3. Whippy Cake's New Collection I am wishing right now that my hair was long so that I could do the fun stuff the models in the new collection are doing.


4. 70 Degree Weather Really, who can complain about something like this in January?


5. LambAround I find this blog extremely humorous! If I see a new post in my reader then I generally know that it will crack me up, or point me to a new blog with all sorts of crafty stuff.

Friday Favorites

I have decided that I'm going to do a favorites post to share some of my "favorites" that I've been enjoying these past few weeks. They are in no specific order.

1.) Modern Family
How have I been living without Modern Family??? I have had it recommended to me before and I brushed it off, I was too busy with my Real Housewives. I have since learned the error of my ways. Modern Family is literally laugh-out-loud funny. I think I have convinced Brandon of its laugh factor as well.

2. Sinful Colors Nail Polish
Who would have thought that the ads in the back of the US Magazine were actually good? This was a steal and I have been enjoying my polishes for the past few weeks. At a steal of a deal price of $2.50 each, I couldn't pass them up....especially when Sephora thinks that $9 a polish is ok.

3.My New Blingalicious Bag
I got this for Christmas and I have been loving it ever since. The sequins make for some serious reflections from the sun.

4. Gnome Sweet Gnome
If you haven't yet, you definitely need to bop over to Olivia's blog. I am kept up to date on a myriad of things, interesting things. :)

5. Magic Noodle
The magic noodle is located here in Phoenix and it is a delightful noodle restaurant. It reminds Brando and I of the time we ate at Xi'an Famous Foods in Queens.
It is just as good as Xi'an, but without the trip out of town. Last night I devoured their pot stickers and their homemade noodles, yummers.
