Primary Week 1

Brando and I are now Primary teachers...(dun dun dun). To be honest, its probably a better place than, oh say, Young Women's......

I must say we had an extra hilarious afternoon as the kids were super excited to tell us all about themselves and their families and their pets and what they're doing. One of the tidbits we were told:

"I have a dream that one day my Mom will tell my that I have a long-lost twin and we'll find each other and be the best of friends and move to France one day." ---Somehow she forgot that if her mom just happened to "forget" to tell her about a long-lost twin there might be some trouble associated with it.

The kicker of the day was while we were teaching the lesson and it was on John the Baptist. I'm thinking that it probably would be a pretty benign lesson until the quietest one in the class...not a peep out of him before this, raised his hand and with a quizzical look said, "So if God let John the Baptist's parents have him when they're old, did he make it happen or did it"....pause....pause....pause..."or did it happen you know, THE WAY." I could have rolled on the ground laughing, but instead I didn't want to make the little guy feel bad, I mean the girls in the class were already freaking out that he had asked it.

It looks like we're in for an interesting year, no complaints here.
