Mr. Cactus

As you might suspect, there are a lot of cactus, (cacti??) around here. Our neighborhood is no exception, which I was super glad to see because it appears that some neighborhoods down here are trying to branch out and not plant water-conserving plants in their yards.

Brandon was gone last week to North Carolina, so I thought that in my free time I would read (of course) and then take some time to wander the new neighborhood. The neighbor across the greenway has a very large cactus in her front yard.

I really, really like this cactus, but don't you think it would have more personality if it was wearing a cowboy hat?

I think so too. My first order of business is to start a cactus small, get him a hat that he can grow into and then watch him blossom under the shade of his southwest attire.

Just wait until Christmas when everyone puts Christmas lights on the Cactus', cacti? What the heck is the plural version of the word cactus?! Anyway I love Christmas time in Arizona.
