Cactus Tree

Today I went for a walk, a very long walk in my flip flops. I had not intended on going for a long walk, but I ended up finding myself in a subdivision that I couldn't figure out how to get back without retracing my steps and I was not going to do that.

I set out trying to find a cactus that I could take a picture of, I wanted to find one that had little flowers or whatever those are that are usually pink growing on those bad boys. Instead, I ended up walking down a road that led me to a rural area with chickens roaming free and horses and goats and.... cactus trees.

Looks can be deceiving, I am not joking, this guy was probably 15 feet tall. I couldn't figure out if this was a cactus on steroids, or some sort of cactus bush allowed to grow crazy, or if this was a cousin to the cowboy cactus in my neighborhood. Either way, I was entranced by his beauty.

Do you remember the cactus at my last rental? I accidentally brushed up against it so many time. I really dislike cacti! lol
