Clearfield High School Reunion

This last weekend was my high school reunion. Yep, 10 years. I remember when I was graduating and I thought about the people who had graduated in 1990, I thought they were ancient. I still do, ha ha, sort of. They had nothing in common with me. Their movies, music and fashion styles were completely different from what I wore, they honestly seemed as old as my parents. That was a gross exaggeration on my part, but it seriously seemed like those people were more like my parents than similar to myself.

Now, I'm the one that is 10 years out of high school and man do I feel dated. I look at my clothes, what do I feel most comfortable in? Well, after 10 years of dressing up to go to work I feel best when I'm in a pair of slacks, or a comfortable, yet cute :)  skirt paired with a sensible top that I feel is professional yet shows that I'm not super old yet. Do you know how I achieve this??? Cardigans, that's how. Luv 'em. Or, I really like blouses with cute little fills and bows and what not. Yep, I have absolutely nothing in common with the graduates of 2010 and that feels weird. I'm starting to accept it, I have spent the past year feeling ancient and kind of melancholy about it. I keep thinking, crap, a third of my life could be over already, WHAT HAVE I DONE?????? I haven't solved world hunger, or choreographed a most spectacular dance routine for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, but after looking back, I think that I have done a few things that I can be proud of.

A few highlights from the evening:

1.) Not very graduates from Clearfield High came...shame on all of you who didn't attend!
2.) In a lot of cases, I couldn't tell who was the graduate and who was the significant other.
3.) Apparently there are quite a few graduates who work in dangerous jobs...you know who you are...motel 6 shooting person!
4.) My friends are fertile, seriously people, if you want to have children move to Syracuse.
5.) It was a lot of fun to see people from the old days.
6.) It most ways it was just like being in high school, you stuck with people you knew and felt comfortable with.

This is Kirsten and Kristen, Kirsten (on the left) came all of the way from China to come. Yes, this lucky lady gets to live in Shanghai and shop for fabulous clothes on a daily basis. Oh and btw we uninvited our spouses since a few of the girls' hubbies couldn't make it. We decided to make it a date with ourselves.

This is myself and Barbi, Barbi is preggo with her 5th baby. That's right, her 5th baby. Its not fair that she is far enough along to know what the baby is and still is not showing, no matter what she says.

I took a few more pictures but since the lighting was awful, (thanks a lot Maddox) they were super shady looking pictures. We look like we're hanging out in a cavern. It was a fun, weird, trippy night but we had a good time. We were the last ones hanging out in the parking lot chit chatting. I am hoping that our "planned" bbq actually turns out...we'll see.

Thanks for putting some pictures up. I wish I could have been there to see everyone. It really is weird/sad that it has been ten years already. By the way, I think you are way more stylish than me!

Looks like lots of fun - Steve and I have the Woods Cross ten year reunion this year as well and just the thought weirds me out. And I'm with you, graduating in 1990 still sounds ancient. . .

I just read this post with Alaina, who did not attend the big event. She is ashamed of herself for not going and very happy at the same time. Conflicting emotions... We also saw some pics on Facebook and it freaked her out because lots of people looked OLD. I told her to watch it...I'm 30.

Glad you had fun!

Good for you for attending!! We are right behind you...yikes. getting old sucks. You gals are still as cute as when you were rockin your cheerleading outfits 10 years ago.

Oh Bre, we can be honest here...this is a safe environment, right? I have a serious problem with dressing like I'm a 40 year old. :)

It is too bad you couldn't make it! I'm sure you would have gotten a good laugh a few times.

Brooke! You, Steve-o and I are all alumni of the double- 00? What a special time!!! :) Good luck at your reunion, hopefully its far more engaging than mine was. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have more going on...but bless the girl's heart that had it dumped on her at the last second, she did the best she could.

Maryn, that is good stuff! I think that I must miss out on a lot not being on facebook, if there's anything good let me know and I'll have Breanne pull it up for me! Did you go to yours?

Tell Alaina not to sweat missing the reunion because we're supposedly having a bbq @ Kirsten's mom's house next Wednesday. Brando most likely can't make it, but I am planning on going regardless. I could meet her somewhere if she would like. :)

Miss Alisa you are too kind...unfortunately I have not been able to fit into that get up for years...seriously probably not since half way through my senior year...ha ha I had to squeeze that bad boy on at the end.

I am excited for your reunion! You'll have to post all about it...that's what's hard about reunions, you only get to see the people your age.

I had to delete my comment because it wasn't grammatically correct and it was bugging me...
Anyway! I gave Alaina your message about the BBQ, but you'll probably have to call her because she's antisocial. J/K! Call her!
We did not go to our reunion because we are lame and so are our friends. Remember that I'm married to Eric and he's WAY too cool for HS reunions!
