My Very Own Strawberries

Today, I was able to eat the first strawberries that I have ever grown...ever.

Photobucket

They look delicious and ripe and sweet, but unfortunately were very, very tart. Am I supposed to leave these on the on the plant for a while after they turn red? I was worried if I left them too long, then they would get overripe and start getting gross.

They look delicious. Maybe put some sugar on them and they will taste better!

Ah! I'm so jealous! i agree with the sugar suggestion! My husband loves sour stuff so he'd probably LOVE them tart.

Bre, that's a good idea...do you think I need to leave them on longer?

I pulled another one off last night and sure enough, tart as ever!

Olivia! I am sorry that Cake Wrecks didn't turn out! Did Dawn talk to you about that? Another time my friend...another time. :)
