I have to give some serious props to the people that I saw running at the top. The canyon is about a 6% grade half of the way up and then after the water treatment facility it goes to a 9% grade. I hate running uphill, so I cannot imagine doing that for 6 miles. I truly had a hard enough time going up on my bike. I just had to keep telling myself that while it was tough going up, the reward would be going back down without touch my pedals at all.
Here I am thinking that I'm going to get my tan on. I am still paying for that choice. My shoulders are easily the color of Big Red gum.

Here's a scene from the top. Is that snow you ask? Yes, yes it is. There was a lot more of it than I was comfortable with.

This is the view from the end of the path looking back down. It was a beautiful day and I think just cool enough that the snakes weren't out slithering just yet.

I had forgotten how spectacular City Creek is. It makes me miss living right by it. Not much beats being able to step outside your door, cross the Capitol's grounds and go straight into the canyon.

Wow... seriously impressive. I can't even ride a bike on a flat concrete surface. Seriously, I'm jealous.
Except the burn. That's no bueno. My face is just recovering from my "playing at the park" burn.
