The Mailman Came

When I was little I was fascinated by the mail. How amazing was it that people would send you things? The next best thing to just getting the mail? Well that would be having your name on the mail items, I used to get every single type of mail catalog that I could possibly get. Since "growing up" I have decided that the mail isn't quite as exciting anymore. I don't even get my bills in the mail, most of them arrive in my inbox, which leaves the mail for classified mailers. This feeling has changed a bit since moving away because occasionally I receive a package from my family and for that moment the mail still holds some of the magic it did for me when I was little.

I couldn't have been more excited when I got a package recently from my mom, opened it up, and found a hummingbird feeder. There are several species of hummingbirds that live in Arizona year round and even more that winter here. My mom also sent me the super easy feeder recipe:

After creating my own hummingbird food, I then hung it outside all ready for hummingbirds.

I now only need to get some bright, red flowers to draw them in.

My mom dyes the liquid in the feeder red too - might help! Fun!
