Speaking of time flying, I have realized that I have been neglecting something that used to be a very important thing to me and that is writing in my journal. Sometimes it feels like I spend enough time blogging or reading or doing other things in the evening that I haven't written anything of substance in my journal for years...about 2 years to be exact. That's 2 years that I've missed!!! I guess you could make the argument that I've been blogging and that's the general gist of my life, BUT, that's my innermost thoughts and feelings about things....sorry Internet, that just doesn't sound like very much fun to let you know if I'm having a bad day or stressed out about something...maybe that would make for better reading, but ain't happenin'. :)
So, in order to keep better, more accurate track of my life, I'm sticking on here that I'm going to journal at least 3 times a week from here on out. I think that if I put it on here, it forces me to stay honest and forces me to do it.
Do you journal? Do you find that its harder to do now that you're not someone in high school writing about all of the drama? Although, I will admit, those are probably the most exciting days to read. ;)

I have been slacking for sure. But I have always written in my journal and it is the best to go back and read. I have also started journaling for my kids. I have one for each of them and I try to write in those often too....its a lot of work and time consuming, but I love doing it. I definately need to do better, thanks for the encouragement!
Hi Michelle :)
I love the idea of a journal! I have started on many times, but didn't keep up with it! My Grandma wrote in one everyday!
Glad you had a nice time with your parents, yes pics please!
Enjoy that warm sunshine :)

Hey! I haven't written in my journal forever either! I had a goal to at least write in it on Sundays, but haven't been very good about keeping it :( Good luck!
Journaling was my biggest success this year and I have to say, 100% worth the effort. I was so good as a teen (yes, the drama made it easy), but have been terrible since I got married. This last year, with a new laptop, I set the goal of writing a quick entry before bed each night. If I do something once in a while, I find it very difficult to actually turn it into a habit. I've always thought a journal should be hand-written, but have decided, whatever gets it done is best. I printed my 2010 journal into a book on Blurb.com last month and it is spectacular! It's over 400 pages and I even decided to throw in small pictures corresponding to each day. When it came in the mail, it was pretty much the greatest thing on this earth. it is one thing I just won't let slide any more - and I'm sure you will be pleased if you keep yours up too! (Although, Brandon probably doesn't say quite as many adorable things as my kids do. . .)
