This is an older book, it was released in 1990. This was very obvious when during one portion of the book a character hacks into a computer system just by doing something similar to "googling."This book was filled with characters that I found interesting and a story line that while is very mystical, is more believable than the other horror books that jump the shark. I feel like Stephen King is very predictable in that he always goes back to aliens. In this case, I was pleasantly surprised to see to find myself surprised with the plot and where it goes.
This is not my favorite of Dean Koontz's books. I would recommend this book if you're going on a trip somewhere and you need a backup book in case you finish your first book and need something to occupy you.

I'm a huge fa of Dean Koontz, but have never read this one (he has SO many books, how could anyone have read them all, right?). I keep looking for a new one to read. Doesn't it seem like SO many of his books include scientific experiments and hyper-intelligent dogs? Perhaps that Koontz's aliens?
If you've not read it I HIGHLY recommend "Fear Nothing" it's my favorite book by Koontz and one of my favorite books in general.
