St. Louis

I just got back from a trip to St. Louis with work. While I hate to admit it, I haven't ever traveled to the mid-west, so I was excited to see what it looked like.

The Arch was really cool....

We took the tiny little cages up to the top of the Arch. I was expecting large windows and some sort of see-through material at the top. I was very wrong. The top of the Arch has teeny, tiny windows that you have to peer through. I guess I was spoiled by the Stratosphere..if only I could go  back in time to the 60's to let the engineers know..I would clue them in that that those windows are not big enough to really see the area.

The Arch is right on the Mississippi. I was assured that the Mississippi is much larger in other areas. It was a little underwhelming, but that's ok. It just means that I need to go visit the wider parts of the Mississippi in the future.

It was nice to get to see St. Louis. I didn't have any time to get some delicious ribs, which I hear is the city's specialty. I did, however, get to partake of toasted ravioli, which according to the restaurant, St. Louis is famous for as well.
