Fountain Hills Arts Festival

This weekend Brandon and I hit up the Fountain Hills Arts Festival. Aside from an opportunity to check into another spot on Foursquare, I figured it would be a great opportunity to find lots of cool, artsy, crafty stuff.

First up, the fountain. This fountain used to be the tallest fountain in the world, but no longer holds that title. The design is seriously 70's, check out that architecture.

The fountain was a welcome change of scenery in the desert. The arts fair wrapped around the park that holds the fountain. There were a ton of people, a ton of booths and not a single thing that I just absolutely had to have. Brandon and I were scratching our heads because we really couldn't figure out why people would need to buy small totes with holiday glitter and fuzz around them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the next fair in 6 months, maybe that one will be a little more contemporary. I hear good things about Sedona and Jerome! Isn't there something that happens annually by Yuma? I could be wrong.
