Pumpkin Carving

This year marks the first time Brandon and I have ever carved pumpkins together. The first two years we lived in a tiny apartment that didn't let my creative juices flow. Then, for two years in our house, we were too busy getting ready for our Murder Mystery parties. So, this year we have the space and the time, so we decided to go for it.

Brandon decided to make his without anything any templates to carve from. On the other hand, I had to use one. when we were finally finished and showed each other what we had done, I was completely surprised and excited to see that Brandon had done Jack Skellington in honor of Nightmare Before Christmas.

Mine was (obviously) a haunted house.

I like 'em enough that I think I'm going to keep them inside so we can see them, even though I do realize this is a fire hazard.

That just means no napping while they're lit.

I really like your pumpkins! Nice skills :) We are waiting until a couple of days before Halloween to carve ours, because they rot really fast here!

Dude, I dig 'em! We have our pumpkins but my kids are so obsessed with treating them like babies I'm afraid they may never get carved. :)
