Cabo San Lucas

We got back this week from Cabo, and I must say, it was muy fantastico!!!! We were able to do a lot of fun things, which weren't documented because our camera may or may not have been accidentally left at home.

We went deep sea fishing, I caught 3 Dorado's. They are very pretty fish, very colorful and they like to fight you when you're reeling them in. It was kind of sad watching them jump out of the water thinking that they're about to catch a tasty meal only to be reeled into our boat. The water in the Sea of Cortez was very calm, very nice, we saw a couple different groups of dolphins and a big sea turtle. Once we headed out into the Pacific, things got a little crazy. I was glad when we started coming in, those waves were starting to get pretty big.

Brandon and I went out to Land's End which is the tip of the Baja Peninsula. The water is safe to swim and snorkel on the Sea of Cortez side, but unsafe due to rip tides and rough water on the Pacific side. We snorkeled with a couple of hours with tourists from Europe. They kept feeding the fish tortillas out of water bottles, apparently the fish LOVE tortillas, so we ended up swimming with tons of Nemo's that thought you were going to give them food. I had several unwittingly swim into my hands. When I tried to grab hold they would freak out and dart away as fast as they could.

These are a couple of pictures that I snapped from our balcony and at the hotel with my phone.

Our hotel was located in the Corridor, which is the strip of land between San Jose and Cabo. It was really quiet and they were raising little baby turtles on the beach in front of the hotel. They would dig them up each day and release them into the water.

We had a really good time, it was really nice to have a relaxing vacation right before our big move.
