Entreprenuers Listen Up!

Alright, I have been an Etsy shop owner. I understand that things can get quite hectic and before you know it you've got a sweat shop inside your own house. Believe me, I get it. BUT, what I don't get is the decision is ignore e-mails, etsy conversations and all over types of correspondence.

I won't tell you what particular etsy shop my frustrations hinge on, but believe me, it was craptastic service. Amongst many things, I was promised that I would get my stuff in one week...I finally got it, 4 weeks later. I was promised a 25% discount for joining a mailing list, nope, never got that. Even though I have e-mails showing the shop owner knew that I was eligible and would give me the discount. Finally, last week I sent an e-mail saying that I no longer wanted the item and to refund my money because I found another shop that would do the same thing and apparently could deliver. That e-mail was ignored and sure enough last Friday I received my goods in the mail.

Maybe I wouldn't feel so badly IF the stinking thing looked as good as the pictures promised. No go people, no go. Its flimsy, thrown together and looks nothing like what the picture promised it would look like.

Long story short, I will be more careful on Etsy as it seems that people there can ignore all pleas for communication from customers.

Ah....now that I have that off my chest....
