Headbands

The other night Jennifer and I decided to have a craft night. It was Jennifer's wonderful and very creative idea to make ourselves some headbands with applique flowers. Its a good thing that she was brave enough to go for it, because I looked at the pictures and was a little nervous that it would be a spectacular disaster on my part.

After watch a few youtube videos we decided that we could give it a try. They are actually not very hard to make at all. All we ended up doing was created the flowers by rolling the fabric and gluing as we went. The glue gun is much easier to use than fabric glue, but I have a blister to prove that the glue gun does get hot...thus the name..

It was a lot of fun and I pleased with how they turned out. I made a few more, one with lilac flowers that were a bit smaller than the one below.

It was funny to see people's reactions. If a person didn't say anything to me, but I noticed them glance at it, then I knew that they didn't like it. I wasn't too concerned, I figure I should get accessories out of my system before I get wwaaayyy too old to wear them.

Does anyone know how to make the flowers a little pointier? I have seen a few flowers that actually look like roses.

Oh so fun! I totally wear hair accessories like it's my job. I totally think I'm too old for the big hair bows I wear but I love them. They make me feel a girlie & cute.
