Closed Waterways

I think that I'm pretty lucky that I live by some waterways, even though they are manmade. I think they're even better because supposedly part of my HOA each month goes to the creation and upkeep of those waterways. I realize that my small little "donation" isn't doing much...but still, I'm paying into it, right? Well, the other night we went for an evening walk and sure enough I came across this sign:

Note all of the "No's" listed along that sign? Well, I was telling Brandon that I fully intend on using these waterways to their fullest this summer. Just in case thought that meant that we'll be getting canoes, I decided that I needed to let him know my plan. I am going to buy one of those little floaties that you can tan on and I am going to stick it in the water, getting a running start and dive onto the floatie and use it as my personal pool. Its going to be great, think of the tan I'll get this summer! He looked at me like I was crazy and said, "you realize you're going to be the crazy lady of the neighborhood." I kind of thought about that and actually hesitated until we got the pond that is stocked with fish. Let me remind you all of the sign...everything is closed...supposedly.

Apparently these people didn't get the memo. As we walked around the pond I realized that none of these people are my neighbors. Therefore, none of them are paying the HOA. Well, that settled it. I am swimming in the waterways this summer. I am going to get full use out of those bad boys. Why not, right? I'm serious about this, if you'd like to join me, you're more than welcome. I'll supply the floaties.

If you get a canoe make sure to invite Morgan if you go out.. otherwise she might take a running dive into it! ha ha. That is one of the funniest memories I think I have!
