Basement + IKEA = FUN

We have been working on finishing part of our basement for the past few months. The extra bedroom downstairs is completed (whew) and now all we have left is the family room. The family room has been a little bit tricky because the flooring took much longer than we thought it would. In the future it might be a strong reason for going with carpet instead of thinking its a good idea to install wood on your own. But, I am happy with the way it is shaping up. All we have left to do is a tiny area of the floor which requires a special saw to cut the wood lengthwise, then its doors and we're ready to roll.

I have boxes of bookshelves sitting in my great room. Brandon and I got very excited about almost being complete and went on Saturday to IKEA to get our bookshelves. I cannot wait until we get them assembled down there because this is only one pile of boxes the rest are out in the garage still because the pile was getting overwhelming.
