Meet Mona, the watering can. I love Mona. This may sound strange, but Mona is a good, good friend. She is an especially good friend to have if you have planted hydrangeas in a sloped area of your yard. She is also a good friend to have if you occasionally get black widows in your flower pots and you don't want to have to pick them up to water your flowers. When I got home from work today I noticed poor Mona sitting all alone in the corner of the garage with the spider killer (that stuff came in handy last summer) and fertilizer. I have been watching and waiting, but none of my perennials have started to come back up and none of the bulbs that I planted last November are starting to peek through. That could be either because its a.) far too early for flowers to be blooming and/or b.) Brandon just dumped the bulbs in a hole....they were not laid out properly like the pictures showed.
Truth be told, I cannot wait for it to be summer. it seems like the winter is dragging on and on. There's nothing better than going out on a summer night and watering the flowers, it makes me feel grown up, and earthy, if that's even the right word to use. I already have my garden planned out and we have everything ready to go this Spring, and I promise this year I won't just let my eggplant shrivel up on the ground outside. While very pretty...I'm just not sure what I would do with eggplant.
Oh well...I guess I will just keep waiting, at least there's no snow to shovel.
