Then, today at the meeting we spent almost the entire day talking about beliefs and how beliefs encourage actions and actions dictate consequences and lead ultimately to our happiness/unhappiness. The statement that really made me think, was when our facilitator brought up the fact that as a society, we strive to overcome our weaknesses. We do this to our detriment. If a child brings home a report card and they have 7 A's and one A- what does the parent focus on? The one A-. What is every single evaluation at work like? What do your goals look like? They all focus on overcoming our weaknesses, but how much more productive, how much more successful would everyone be if they capitalized on their strengths? How much more satisfied would you be with your life if you felt like every single day you spent a majority of your time doing something that you truly loved and were good at? Anyhoo.......I found this profound. It probably wasn't quite as amazing as I thought it was..........just food for thought.

Strengths
Today I got the opportunity to attend a "Change Management" workshop for work. Prior to going to the meeting, I had to read a portion of a book and then go online and take a test. The test consisted of about a half hour's worth of questions, and each question had to be answered within 20 seconds. They were questions like on one end of the scale it would say "I cannot tell a lie" and the other end would be "I have to complete all tasks by the end of the day." Most of them were related in some sort, but a lot of them seemed completely random. At the end of the test I was given my top 5 strengths.
