24th of July Weekend

It was an extremely nice, relaxing, long weekend. We both had the 24th of July off so we headed up to our parent's house where my grandma had her usual bbq.

I took Friday off and we went hiking up Adam's Canyon. Adam's Canyon is one of my favorite spots in the whole world. Brandon proposed to me there and we haven't had very much time to make it up there since then, so I was extremely excited to go up. We slept in and relaxed all morning, which probably was a bit of mistake because it was so hot one we started up the switchbacks at the very beginning. I felt like my skin was cooking, but it was great once we got into the canyon itself. There wasn't too much water coming down it but enough to cool everything down. There were more people there than I would have thought. I felt bad for a girl that fell down on the rocks at the waterfall, but honestly, I didn't have too much sympathy.........who in their right minds thinks its a smart idea to walk on rocks that are wet and partially submerged in wet, slippery shoes? There's a reason why you should stay on the dry rocks....perhaps I should have more sympathy for people. Anyhoo, the waterfall was beautiful, it was a beautiful day and I loved every minute of our hike. We tried to take pictures of us and the waterfall and did the best we could, because I was not going to recreate the fall I had just watched.

Then, on Friday night we headed down to Draper to hang out at Nick and Mindy's house. They have an awesome view from their deck, we spend the entire evening enjoying the view and chit chatting. It made me so excited for our house. I have missed sitting out on the patio in the summer evenings enjoying life, hanging out with friends and being outside.
